As of right now, I don't exactly like the look of it. I need to see a good "Tomb Raider Style" screenshot before I can make an opinion.BTW, they look like back props, like in Final Fantasy games. They better not be in the final release, or someone's not going to buy it. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I think it would be awesome if those clocks moved in real time - drools. And for thoses of you who think thats pre redered bite you tounge! As you can see the shelves, and boxes, and clocks are most likely 3d ( you dont draw things that well in pre render, unless your playing Omnimusha) As for the camera. Dont you remember the static camera sections of past tr games! Also in an interview it said there is the classic third person camera and it will have better intelligence (no more bad angels) and it will be adjustable. Wow, it makes me cringe with saddness that i quite all things tomb raider until the next Tomb Raider Game... ------------------ Cyprus Studios IP: Logged |

I can't beleive I'm hearing any doubt at all about this game. Especially here. Shame on you non beleivers. Shame.Oh, and Resident Evil Stinks horribly. You can't even jump. It never held a candle to Lara and certainly never will. Just my opinion. [This message has been edited by jer_atch (edited 02-05-2002).] IP: Logged |

a little question on a side-track here: if first person is a doom-like game where you only see a gun at the bottom of the screen, as it would look through the eyes of the player....and if third person is where the camera is behind the first person, then why call it a third person game and what happened to second person view? Hi Driber,1st Person is the view of "I", i.e. the point-of-view seen from 'inside' the head of the viewer. 2nd Person is the view of "you". This is never portrayed in cinema because it is not possible to film you watching the film. However, it is used in multi-media, lectures, and for disabled people who can't see where they are for whatever reason (restricted vision etc). If you point a live web-cam at yourself whilst playing Doom and Tomb Raider (in three separate windows on your screen), you would be viewing 1st, 2nd and 3rd perspectives simultaneously: 1st: "I": Driber 'in' Doom 2nd: "You": Driber playing games 3rd: "She": Lara falling into a pit because you weren't concentrating. 2nd person is used a great deal in advertising. "Buy happy toothpaste now and you will be shiny teethed! You know it makes sense." etc. In literature, second person perspective is awkward if used for very long. It is not a natural way to tell a story and tends to put the reader off. I.e. "You get up one day and you switch on the kettle. You pick up a magazine and you think to yourself, 'Man, second person sucks..'". The most common view of 2nd person perspective is what you see when you look in the mirror at yourself. No don't do it! Crack.. 3rd Person is the view of "he / she / they / we / it", i.e. Lara (she) is viewed walking around the pawn shop. [WBM continues to talk.. but Driber has crept away to call WBM a taxi. ]
