it just looks like another boring adventure game.

it is wonderful, but it seems to me her legs are a little bit too "big", and the illumination is too banal, few shodows and too flat.. then I would have preferred a most "tech" raider picture than an 19th century illumination and locations.. even if maybe we are only inside an "antique shopper"..

well, we are always talking about the future best game we will be able to play for years

Oh well I will still try it, hopefully my PC will be updated by then, mine still has a bit of trouble running chronicles lol.

no its not the new generation, its the NEXT generation, still mean't to be Tomb Raider. Although I know what you mean, Ive read the storyboard for the new game and it does seem to be a new generation of tomb raider.

Hmmm...I get the feeling she's in the armory buying enhanced body armor for the loot she gathered in the last level. Not exactly my favorite type of game.
I think I'll want to play the demo before I lay out any cash for this one. Looks are not as important as game play.

I don't know. It somehow looks like they limited Lara's freedom. I certainly hope they won't be working with fixed cameras. And tell me, why does the time on the middle clock not match to those on the left and right?
Weird. Perhaps she did some sort of time travel? And who is that guy? Perhaps HE is Curtis. Just a few suggestions.

By the way, the way that everything is so extremely detailed makes me thing it's pre-rendered. I certainly don't hope so...

No there not Pre-Rendered lol. Have you even seen Drakan 2 and Baldurs Gate dark alliance? Even GTA III and Metal Gear Solid. No pre-rendered backgrounds there and they look awsome. If it looks this good on PS2, I cant wait to see the Xbox version with bump-mapping and all that good stuff

Looks amazing, but does anyone think it kinda looks like static cameras? I'd hate to have to play it like THAT! I mean, Alone in the Dark, Res Evil and all those survival horror games suit it, but not TR. PLEASE NO!

But other than that, it looks quite a bit like Gabriel Knight and those sorts of adventure games... (which is a good thing lol. They rock!)

Jantje - It looks like Lara is in a pawn shop... those clocks probably just don't work or they've got no batteries or something...

(sorry for all the posts! lol)

For those people that say it looks too detailed - what are you looking at?! I'm not saying it looks pants, I think it's great, but there's been more detail than that on hundreds of PC games... probably different on PS1, though. Plus you can tell they aren't pre-renedered..... no way!

The quality of the scanned images isn't as good as it could be, so don't judge the detail by these pics.
The person scanning needs to check the option that removes moire patterns. That would get rid of the diagonal lines and make it look more like a photo.

I didn't mean it like that, I know the pics don't look as good as they will in-game coz it was scanned obviously, but there really isn't much more detail in there. (just plain walls with a few shelves, boxes and 2 bikes) That's not *really* detailed. But I'm sure the rest of the game will have more Still looks fantastic though.

- What is this? Is it Tomb Raider?

- Of course, it's a Tomb Raider! Can't you see Lara after plastic surgery in the bike store? She's buying a bike, hehe!

- OK., so it's Tomb Raider...? Where are the Tombs to raide? Where is the mystical atmosphere from very first games?

- Hey, man! Why you need any stinking tombs to play? There is whole lotta perfumed Paris to raid? Ain't it cool? You can raide Centrum Pompidour instead! Or Moulin Rouge! Maybe they show Lara dancin' can-can and the boobs, oh man! I need to buy it now, can't wait till november! This sreenshot is awesome, it's fantastic and bombastic! If the whole game is gonna be like this... It's gonna be cool! I mean really COOL!

- Paris? Thank you! What will she raid? Oh, and they have ideas for another 7 TR episodes?
-
It doesn't excite me much! It's like soap opera or sitcom serials - first episodes are interesting but with every new epizode becomes boring like Rocky 16, Rambo 21 or Police Academy 35? Why still call it Tomb Raider? Why not Paris Raider? Why? Because it should sell very well... Anybody wanna buy cool T-shirt with Lara on the top of Eiffel Tower? Hey, she's like KingKong! Hey, mister! Yes, you! Buy your little pumpkin a brand new old game! Everybody gonna love it! How much is it? Another fifty bucks?

- No offense, some like it , some not! And I do not...
