I mentioned this in the old forum. I start topics and people reply and everything is going great, then I go back and even though it says there are say 7 posts in the main forum screen, when I go into the topic again some are missing. With that one I have started recently re the wolf sounds, my last post was yesterday (5 Feb). I checked at lunchtime today and at that time my post was the last one and the topic was half way down the list. Now this evening I have looked again, the topic is near the top, it says the last post was on the 6th (today) and yet when I go into it I find my one of the 5th is still the last one! (I checked to see if there are two pages but as far as I can see there is not. And yes I have clicked on the refresh button - about 20 times - it's probably worn out!) I know when I asked about this before someone said it's probably a problem at my end which could well be the case - but does anyone have any idea what it could be? In the meantime, if anyone has kindly replied to my wolf sound topic today, then thanks very much but as yet I can't see it so please don't be offended if I don't reply!IP: Logged |

Are you using the US entrance or the UK entrance? Maybe it takes awhile for the databases to synchronize.

Hi AKTrekker, thanks for replying. I'm in the UK - I'm not sure if that means I'm using the UK entrance though(?) When this happened before in the old forum, I had one topic with quite a few replies on it, which I had seen OK, then I switched off the internet and came back either later that day or the next day and there were only two posts at the top although in the main forum screen it said there were more. But as I had seen the replies once, it seems a bit odd that they should then disappear so I don't think it can be a case of one database catching up with the other. Perhaps it is just my PC then, I do sometimes get error messages on the internet saying something like "An error has occurred do you want to keep running scripts on this page?" (Daft question 'cos I just say yes and carry on!) IP: Logged |

I used to get those javascript errors. Rarely it was a bug in the javascript. Usually it was because I had an older browser. I upgraded and never had a problem again. The US portal is eidosinteractive.com The UK portal is eidosgames.com
