Enjoy Thanks to TR_Freak for the Info and Pics!!!! LOL remind ya of the Tomb Raider Movie outfit???These are PC pictures and the PS2 and Xbox will just look as good as this, This is great! http://trnextgeneration.homestead.com/files/multiple_poses.jpg http://trnextgeneration.homestead.com/files/climbing.jpg http://trnextgeneration.homestead.com/files/training.jpg - Lara is wanted for the murder of Von Croy - You will start off weaponless and gadget-less in the backstreets of paris as the training level. - Lara will still have no guns when she starts the game unless she can either find some or buy some. - A whole new money system will be introduced to the game where lara can purchase things at shops, for example is lara finds an old comic book, she can store it in her inventory and pawn it at a pawn shop and use the cash for guns at a gun shop! -Laras new body will consist of 5,000 poly's compared to her old body that consisted of 500 poly's! -A new character Kurtis will be introduced opening possibilities of multiplayer and rotating between characters while in game!!!!! -Core may include a level editor with this one. - Core will have more of a say in TRMovie 2. - Lara's animations will still be the same but with more fluencey. If a level editor is included, I wonder if it will be possible to use older levels? Since the new lara and everything else will be more detailed, would it look funky to mix and match old objects and textures? Course I hope someday to figure out how to do that with the current level editor LOL. As always, I look forward to each new TR game...IP: Logged |

Let's see...from the descriptions in the pics, it sounds like it will be just like the current TR, only more polygons and particle effects. As for the dialog stuff (posted in another topic), it is starting to sound so different that it may not be fun anymore. To me, game play is more important than the graphics. It can look great (and it looks like the scenery is not much more detailed than TR5), but if it loses the adventure and action associated with TR, it just won't be as fun to play. I hope they release a bit more information about the actual game play instead of just touting the graphics.

great looking pics!but please post links instead of using the IMG code if the images are so large that they seriously stretch the page let's keep the thread happy to browse for everyone Ps. http://trnextgeneration.homestead.com/files/cover.jpg doesn't appear to load correctly, it stops half way at the image ------------------ Driber's Homepage | TRLE Chatbox | TRLE FAQ and Community | Objects Archive [This message has been edited by Driber_IF (edited 02-13-2002).] IP: Logged |

I'm gonna be getting this for the PC anyway, but do you think the level editor will be available on the XBox version? (IF the LE is gonna be released, and IF there's gonna be an XBox version) it's got the hard drive, wouldn't it be pretty easy?------------------ Neil Smith Webmaster, Tomb Raider: Level Heaven www.TRLevels.co.uk IP: Logged |

WOW!! excited now!! NG looks like its shaping up quite nicely, and only a few months to go!! I have an issue or two tho: what has happened to Lara's 'New' outfits?? I was very depressed to se her in those bloody shorts again!! this is supposed to be a brand new, totally different, fresh start kind of thing, yeah? so why the **** is she wearing the same bloody outfit she has been wearing for the past six sodding years!!!???. No-one loves Lara and her adventures more than me, but she does need a fresh new look....i dont want just a better looking version of the ps1 games. does anyone else agree?? she looked much better in the mock ups that core released ages ago, i foe one was very keen on the leather jacket/jeans combo...sorry to be picky, but its a bit worrying that if they are paying so little attention to what she is wearing in terms of the supposed 'distancing' from the originals, how much are they REALLY changing?? hope i am wrong, cos the whole franchise really needs a shot in the arm and some good reviews after 'CHRONICLES'. Let me know what you all think?!------------------ "I said you'd try...." IP: Logged |
