There has to be at least two tiles wide in order for the waves to be noticable.

Also the animation will only display the texture frames and not activate the waves

The wave functions by raising one tile whilst lowering the other. see diagram below.

each 'X' corresponds to a tile (one water texture space).

XXXXXXXXXXXX = this will not invoke a wave.

XXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXX = this or more will invoke a wave.

However, never make the whole area more than 18 clicks as this can cause gaps in the waves between two rooms.

Click the button "Animation Ranges" at the bottom of your texture window, and right click and drag across the textures of your water. Now click "OK" and they should animate

You all had good comments about making it wave , but forget 1 important button

Remember that W button to make water ?
You can add numbers 1 to 4

1 = almost no wave
2 = normal wave
3 = wavy
4 = High waves ( best for sea type rooms )

Doesnt haves to do with animation tiles. I used a water room to make it as mud. Just simply used a mud texture to texture it, and set W to 2, it waved like crazy
