I just had a very strange thought - will Eidos get rid of this forum when "Lara Croft Tomb Raider : Angel Of Darkness" comes out? Will anyone be editting anymore or playing the new game? I hope they don't cos this is one of the more livelier sub-communities* on the site. *as in it is not the Tomb Raider community, just the TRLE community, therefore sub-community [This message has been edited by moose562 (edited 03-27-2002).] IP: Logged |

I have a feeling that Tomb Raider AOD will make the Level Editor obsolete, mainly because it will be so good that Old style TR wont be able to compete, Personally Ive really wanted to make a really indepth almost RPG style Level/Game, but after all the limitations it just exausts many inventive possibillities. On the other hand if new programs keep being made the possibilites are expanded. As for this particular forum, people seem to spend alot of their lives here almost on the brink of obsession and that just aint healthy ------------------ Currently Working On; Lara's Toy Story Often in the Chatbox / AOL Instant Messenger Name is : GoTenchiZ , MSN ; Gokuz99@hotmail.com IP: Logged |

There are no plans to close this forum as it is still of use to many members. Please take into account that Tombraider - Angel of Darkness is more or less a different entity and has no discernable attachment in any way with our still regularly used Level editor, and therefore could continue for some time to come. I am aware of a great many who are still producing custom levels and as long as this occurs, this forum will stay. ------------------ Learn to respond, not react [This message has been edited by Data (edited 03-27-2002).] IP: Logged |

Good point there Gokuz. It is not healthy to "live" here and it is indeed almost an obsession to many of us. Although the angel of darkness gameplay will be completly different then the older tombraider games and I think many players and builders will stay at these. Point 2 is that many will not be able to run the angel of darkness because of the high system specs. The forum will slow down that's for sure but it will not die! And maybe (and I hope not or I'll get more obsessed ) they release the editor of this game. Then ofcourse this forum will be rising into the sky!------------------ Dont you think you've seen enough?...BANG!!! IP: Logged |
