In TR3 ...Luds Gate i think....there was a trapdoor you had to lower then you could climb on it to reach higher ledges.

Does anybody know of a way to use these trapdoors or is it not possible?

I've put one in my wad with no success.Maybe somebody has figured it out.

Try a flipmap trigger. That should work.

I don't know exactly what you mean. I remember a trapdoor in Aldwych, which you had to 'close' and then you could monkey swing over it. If you mean this, then I think it is possible. If the trapdoor is on a monkey swing square. you can swing over it. The same works for pushables blocks, on which sides you can climb - if one side of the block is alligned with a 'climbing' wall, then you can climb it.

It wasn't a trapdoor, but a simple door in the wall. It should work.

Some of the Trapdoors I use are solid until triggered, so I would agree with TRwad, use a flipmap the allows you to climb, and I don't remember a trapdoor, but I do remember a climbable pushable block.

Tr2 Venice level the start in the house, also have to lower a trapdoor to climb to 2nd floor, simply put a trapdoor in the upper place or somewhere then just add a climbable wall, thats it, if the trapdoor is lowerd it will be against the wall and the wall will be climbable,

try it.
