I decided to try and make a level and learn to use that level editor already. so before I start, I have to get one thing clear-do i need to start with an already made level that came witht the level editor or can i start from scratch? and when i'm done, how do i actually play it?

The best thing to do first is the tutorial it may seem tedious but its well worth it, Get a pen and paper handy.

read The Manual, It will tell you how to play your game when finished creating, Err... how to start from stratch. It tells you basically everything.

ok, in about 10 minutes of creating levels, the wads and texture sets will be EXTREMELY BORING i can send you any wad from tr2-4 and some from 5, textures from any game, and sfx from tr2-3. if you want custom wads, ask someone for the link to jliboys site or trlestuff, i dont have the links but they are both really good. to start off, look at some of how the prjs in the maps folders are designed, and read THE WHOLE MANUAL (i know its boring, but youll learn o love it) i would suggest prinitng it, but its 120 pages, and you might not use it as much as i do anyway... need help? contact me at the email on my sig, and good luck!
