i placed the rope and triggered but it doesn't make the creaking noise when lara is swinging on it. Is there a way to get the creaking noise back?

Well you could leave it out in the sun for a while.

Other than that, copy it back into your wad with TRwest, or get the original from your CD.

I don't remember saying from TRwest? anyhow you can use TRwest to take the rope from another wad and place it in the wad you're using over the top of the one that has no sound.

There is a sound called LARA_ROPE_CREAK in sounds.txt. Make sure to include it in your wad.

I`ve had this kind of problem with the Bird Blade from the original Karnak WAD, which was silent.
The solution was to copy over it with the Bird Blade from the Cleopal WAD via TRWest. It worked.
