When I convert my level, I get messages saying "could not find TR3 sound ###" This happens to me since I use the new version of TR2Wad. The most strange thing is that I'm not using any TR3 moveables in my wad, just static objects, and static objects don't have sound. Also, when Lara lights up a flare, she doesn't make sound, and the horseman lost his sound too. Is this a known bug of the new version of TR2Wad? Or am I doing things the wrong way?------------------ Keep visiting Tomb Raider Level Editing: IP: Logged |

If it says invalid sound id ts still fine, as long as it converts all the way and says build all complete. it says that all the time 4me but it still plays fine, and no its not the new tr2wad version, it happened when i used the older version too, as for the flares, you may have too many flames in the area. try removing some, its the same in my india level. dont know about the horseman tho, never used him, but you might want to ask TRWad about that....------------------ Creator of professional levels (: jokami63@aol.com new to the level editor? want new wads, tgas, or sounds? bored with the level editor? do any of these above questions interest you? if so send $5 to jokami63@aol.com lol :) IP: Logged |

Usually when you add items to your wad from wads other than TR4 wads, you will get 'sound not found' errors when outputting the wad. You'll also find the sounds in your wad have been altered so you then have to rebuild your SOUNDS.SFX ,SAM files by running PCWADSFX. Altrenatively, you can back-up the SFX and SAM files for your wad before adding items from wads other than TR4 wads ,and then replacing them after editing your wad. IP: Logged |

When tr2wad exports a wad, the sounds are exported using these names. Maybe trwest makes mistakes with it and copies them without you copying moveables. Try using wadmerger. It will export the sounds files too (please download an update for this that will be available soon)IP: Logged |
