I’m trying to make stairs using objects “rock0” from city wad. The manual says place the stairs on the ceiling and press floor+ to bring them down. I did that, and painted the floor 0black, but in-game the stairs are in the right place but the floor has lowered by 2 clicks. If I try to correct I get a zero texture band above the stairs.

Was confusing to understand?
Could someone simply explain STEP BY STEP how you create stairs using the object textures “rock0”

I can only suggest that you had the floor selected as well as the stair object when you lowered it, as you have described the placing of the stair object correctly
