Can Easylife be run on Windows XP?I've just installed the editor onto my new XP system, loaded my levels and wads from the CD's i backed them up onto, but when i make script changes and run Easylife ,no new dat files are created. I assume Easylife being a DOS program ,is the problem with XP....does anyone know a way to get it to work...thanx IP: Logged |

I don't have Windows XP, but you could try this:Reboot and put a boot disk into your disk drive. Now you should be in DOS. Run Easylife from there! I believe this is the only way... ------------------ IP: Logged |

About the boot disk situation, XP in no way supports DOS of any kind. If you wait I can run it, your thinking of XP's command prompt which isn't DOS but a simple text exectuting program. It should run easylife though.IP: Logged |

Thanx for both suggestions but i still can't get it to work.Easylife does run using the command promt, bu it gives error messages ,saying that files weren't found, so it doesn't create any new dat files IP: Logged |

Use "English Script.bat" and they'll be created. Then copy them into your TRLE root folder.------------------ IP: Logged |

I tried that ,but it doesn't work either...i think i'll probably have to use my old PC for editing because no DOS progs work on XP...thanx anyway IP: Logged |
