Topic: can't set finish triger T_T

the first level has the coastal wad with some changes (I used tr west), I set the finish trigget so the next can be played, the second level has also the coastal wad, lara finishes the first level steps on this trigger the level ends and the second one begins to load but after loading an error message appears?????The two levels can be played separatedly but I cannot make this trigger to work..... Even though both use the same wad, are they named differently e.g. coastal_1, coastal_2 in the script as well as the wads.?IP: Logged |

well, they have diferent names but no coastal 1, 2, 3 and so on, the wads are equal in an 90%, the second one is the first with a few changes, the script is all right and the levels work correctly but it's strange, because when I made my first level using the city wad it didn't work because it only loads the next level if it has the same city wad, but the game didn't show an error message, it just shut down. May be it's because I made a lot of changes using tr west... I don't know ... what a disaster if I can't fix this because they are not two levels, they are two parts of the same one, making it in only one level is imposible as it's too big T_TIP: Logged |

Does your second wad have a LARA_START_POS in the level? You need one when using the finish trigger to switch levels. Put it where you want Lara to start.

Okay, this may be a dumb question, but I'm having the same problem and this question popped in my head. Do you still need to put LARA in? Will putting LARA and LARA_START_POS in cause any problems?

I decided not to let lara go back to the first level, but any way it will only load itself, and do not load levels using other wads, why? it's a mistery. Editor levels as tutorial, coastal and so on, except for city seem to load level with other wads but not mine, I will post here if I find out something.IP: Logged |

You can have LARA and LARA_START_POS in the same level. If you play the level standalone, it uses LARA. If you jump from another level it uses LARA_START_POS. When using LARA_START_POS, the direction the cone points is the direction Lara will be facing when she level jumps.
