Strange, that never happen to me before. So it looks normal in Strpix but in the game it has dark lines on edges of polygons, right? Open up TRviewer and check the .tr4 file. If dark links show up in her oufit, output a .tga, edit, and import (.trmsh)IP: Logged |

You've mean you never heard? It's esstential to check out .tr4 files. I went to TRviewers official site, but's it's kind of confusing, so just download from here: http://www.evpopov.com/Downloads.html Download the lastest binary file for TRviewer (it's on the bottom of the page.)[This message has been edited by LarzBritsh (edited 04-14-2002).] IP: Logged |

If you are planning to distribute the outfit the users probably won't see the dark lines. Maybe it has to do with using your hardware with Strpix. Try this: Download someone else's custom outfit, use it in a level, and see if dark lines turn up. If they don't, open the level WAD with the outfit with Strpix, make a change to the outfit, output the tom, and see if there are dark lines. That way you can see if this has to do with your specific hardware. If all fails, email Turbo Pascal, the creator.IP: Logged |

I remember one bug like that in a very early strpix3 version...long time ago...i asume that you are using a newer version... Probably is a bug in strpix3 or probably is a bug in the texture table built for trwest or any other program that you used in the wad...do you imported new textures pieces in the wad? are you using a custom WAD? (I realy...realy...realy hate when people use strpix3 in a custom wad and then they claim that strpix3 is not working correct...) Anyway, why you don;t try applying a different texture piece to the meshes?, if these ones look correct in game then the problem is the texture piece that you are currently using. Sorry if i can't give you more help, but i just made the program and i tested with some originals WADs and and it works OK, but i never built a complete outfit my self, i never used custom wads or any weird s*h*i*t...so there are some others poeple with more experience bulding outfits. All probables problems (that i know) that people can have using strpix3 are already noted in the readme.txt or at my web site, so if the solution is not there, then there is nothing more that i can say for helping you...sorry. This is my web site: http://www.geocities.com/cyber_delphi/ check the strpix3 section. good luck.

Yea, I like when people tell exactly what they do, so it's more ease to figure out what could be wrong and discard non-related problems. (i realy...realy...realy...realy hate when people just post "is not working" problems). Well, is probably that strpix3 have a bug when import textures pieces (early version had that bug but i sure that i was fixed), it;s ease to get wrong when pasting texture pieces and the width is -1 pixel from the original. But if you (or anyone else) already used that option with no problem, then i suspect that the problem is the paint program that you used for save the bitmap. It happen that some paint programs for get a beter perfomance only works with 2 bytes aligned boundaris, this mean that they only work with non-odd width, and when is not the case they add a extra padd byte to the width. Make a test, use the funky paint.exe included in windows and save few pieces with it to see if those pieces can be seen correct in game. good luck. tp.

When i exported the textures i saved them with paint.exe, copied the textures into iPhotoPlus4 and modified them, then i copied them again and pasted/saved the modified textures in paint.IP: Logged |

maybe it's because of your 3D card. Mine does that in every games, that's why all the screens I make from my levels(as so for the outfits) have some lines around polygons and everybody asks me what are those lines. I tryed my level in other computer with a GeForce 2 and the lines were all gone. By the way, I have a Diamond Viper V330 4Mb wich is good as s**t.------------------ Keep visiting Tomb Raider Level Editing: IP: Logged |

Go to start menu, click on run, type in dxdiag, wait till the computer stops working (your screen might also flash), click on display tab. You can view all your video info. Strpix doesn't like it when a driver has it's own opengl32.dll. I was using this reference driver that offer way better performance for my ATI card, but i had it's own opengl32.dll. So Strpix didn't let me edit anything. I had to switch by to my crappy orginal driver to use Strpix. I heard about the opengl32.dll somewhere in this forum. IP: Logged |

To post pics you need to use UBB Code. Read about it here ../HTML/images/ubbcode.html The pic must be online on a site somewhere. When you post, put right after the the url of the pic. IP: Logged |
