Mostly this is a problem of your graphics card. I´ve got the same problem with my Voodoo5

use the strpix3.5 and fix the collision box of new obects with the latest version of strpix you have.

If you don't know where to download the strpix3.5 I will post the url.

I have a geforce 2 video card and I cannot use the Strpix 3.8-rev1 too, expecially for the new "shining feature". The combined use of those two versions of strpix is fantastic, and I don't get problems even if I use TRwest. (But I haven't edited my Lara for my upcoming new level). It seems that "lara" is the objects which most of the times corrupts the wads after you edit with TRwest.

I haven't tried a solution to use the "shining feature" too, but at least with this useful tip you will be able to customize your work.

(strpix 3.5 is still the best even for the customization of your Lara if you want to change her 3D parts).

Tell me if you have it, or I will post the url.

http://digilander.iol.it/psikoTEP/Varie/strpix3-ATI.zip

this is the version for some fixings for the ATI cards, which works perfectly with all the other video cards.

It misses of the collision editor, of the shining feature and of the huge sizeable rendering windows.

After you edit your STATIC objects with custom meshes, open the wad with STRpix 3.8-rev1 and WITHOUT TOUCHING ANYTHING, from the "static box" select your your new static objects and fix the collision with the automatic bound both for the "visibility" either for the "collision" or edit them manually.

The main thing is that the "show box" on 3.8-rev1 must be checked, and that you must choice your static object from the static box menu in order you won't corrupt the wad.

Save, and for additional changes come back using the strpix3.5 I provided the url now

I've discovered that the strpix 3.8 is the best of all.
In this version you can have the shining feature and you can texture objects and you can add collesion (what ever!!)
What I'm trying to say is that you'll be better of with strpix 3.8.

TP! so happy to hear from you! my email is psiko@email.it

I have a question about STRpix and future developments!!!

I know that OFFICIAL objects HAVE A SHADOW which gives them a sort of 3D look: like a column, it is on the darkness on a SIDE (the side which supposely must go in front of the wall) even if the TEXTURES are always the same!!!...

I can only IMAGINING how much it could be hard.. but could you add this feature? I mean, the chance to ADD LIGHTS on the 3D of a new object, then to make it change-able even to normal lights of the TRLE, not only "ambient" light of the room...

but I could wait a little bit more for this last feature! The huge wonder would be the "add lights and shadows" feature directly on the 3D of new objects with the STRpix3.9 or 4.0
