The TR4 engine is pretty simple, it can't render huge complex polygons like in those pics. And the geometry of those levels are difficult to remake. But when i play Soul Reaver 2 i get slow framerate. The TR4 allows for a fast framerate, and the levels still look good, that's what separates it from other engines.IP: Logged |

I played the Legacy of Kain: Soul to Recover 2, in spite of seeming to have great graphs, him not all this, the version PC has a graphic better finish, but the version PS2 has the very weak ones...IP: Logged |

The textures are gorgeous, no wonder someone wanted Soul Reaver textures a while back in this forum. It looks like every texture was made for a specific polygon, If Core decides to release a LE for TR:AOD (very unlikely) i hope we can make levels as good as those levels.IP: Logged |

I hope so too. LaraBritsh, you had said earlier that you had problems with the frame rate of SR2. I have the same thing, but in certain areas, my computer's up to snuf and those pictures were taken on my computer, so I don't think it's the graphics card. It could still be your video card. Some parts that work OK probably don't have as many polygons. The more complex parts, with lots of polygons and lots of textures would need more memory on the video card. Also, the AGP level of the card can affect how fast the data can transfer to the video card. While AGP allows you to use system memory for graphics, the data must still be sent to the video card when needed. Get as much memory on your video card as possible. If the game must use system memory, make sure you have at least 256MB in your computer. Video memory should be a minimum of 64MB for newer games.

I have a shared graphics card that is like 10 MB or something. I don't know how much it uses, but I have 165 MB of RAM.------------------ Un autre ange tombera sur le 9 Mai 2002. I cant see the pics because I only see the logo and copy and paste the link shows also only the logo, I would like to see them.If they are from the back of the package of soul raver II then I have seen them already. Funny thing is that I got the main idea for my new levelset just by looking at the cathedral screenshot on the back of the package so I found it really funny that I am mensioned about it about my screenshot  I really love cathedral scenery. I am just fond of fantasy levels where you can dream in and that is just what I am making. I dont like base levels very much  ------------------ Dont you think you've seen enough?...BANG!!! with the right tweaking I think you can...  Just need extra models, to get those polygon angles, and the right textures & lighting. The TR engine hasn't been pushed to its maximum limits yet....that's the real skill of design....  pe@ce MIRAI
