When I scroll fast through the inventory the game crashes when I reach the binoculars. But if I choice them slowly it works.

Maybe it's something with your video card drivers.... Check if there are any updates.

I downloaded a new driver not long ago.
But I don't think that this is the reason because I've built many levels before but that's my first level with that error.

The WAD is small but there are many really big rooms (it's a large lake. The rooms cover almost the hole 2D-Map). Could that be the reason?

That's probibly why it crashes. Does it crash on other levels though?

It crashes only in this level.
And it crashes then when I've picked up KEY_ITEM12. But only sometimes and I can still use the binoculars.

Hmmm...

Try reinstalling the editor, then open your PRJ and output it...

PS: One suggestion to everybody:

NEVER BUILD A HUGE LAKE THAT COVERS ALMOST THE HOLE 2D-MAP!!! You'll have too many problems: Object textures and other graphic problems!!!

Remember !

Try adding some underwater reefs or sandbars or something to break up the level into different areas. It might help.

Well, a lake that takes almost the entire 2D map isnt a lake anymore Make it a SEA Lol

Btw creating alot of huge rooms does drains the aloc file buffer like a rocket boosting in space. I got about... 130 rooms and already bumped into 7100000 +/-

@ aktrekker: That's not easy because all the level is flat so you can always see the hole lake (if there weren't the stupid (:mad visibility limit).

@ Yasin: 100*100 squares aren't a sea I think. I was almost not sure whether this is enough for a lake. The current alloc file buffer is 510000. I think this number wont rise so much any more because 50% of the rooms contain only air (no floor, no walls, no ceilling) .

Make a huge fortress or similar in the middle of the lake.

Hmm, the problem is: In the middle of the lake there is an island with a small house.

The whole level consists (some parts WILL consist) of small houses and other little things near the lake. Sorry, but I can't devide the level.

But the strange thing is that this bug appears when you've picked up a key (KEY_ITEM12). But I've made nothing wrong I think.

I think I must live with that bug .

Try putting the key and the keyhole in another slot...

That's not possible because you can use KEY_ITEM12 as often as you want to and I need this in my level.

What for a picture? In the game or in the LE (2D-Map, or something other)?
