hello i have tryed the tut level but i am still in need of help in general ok thanks with lighting and when i tryed another level i could not get lara to move and it was very dark. help what is my problem.

Is lara placed correctly? because you said you couldn't get her to move and it was very dark, i'm assuming she was placed it an invalid position.
Go in the LE and load up the level that you are haveing problems with. in the drop down menu click objects/find. Then click on the object name lara (it's the first one on the list) and she should be highlighted in red. make sure she is in a valid position (on one of the squares) and save the level. then output the wad to that of what the wad was named.
ie. if coastal wad was used output the wad to coastal.tom.
Go to the Tomb2pc and click the add script button. Load up the coastal.tom and hit build all. Go into the game and load up coastal and she should work.
