Version 3 of TR_Exe will :

  • display the layout of all rooms included in any standard TR4 Tomb Raider file
  • allow to navigate quickly from one room to another
  • provide the list of various objects, triggers, portals, pits and skydomes found on the way

Instructions for use :
- Push the "Load TR4 file" and choose a .TR4 file
- Locate the "Room" column in the grid, and click a room number
- On the pop-up window of this room :
* Left click on a floor tile to list objects, triggers, portals, pits or skydomes found on this tile.
* Right click on a portal or pit tile to go to the next room
* Alt+Right click on a skydome tile to go to the upper room

Download Version 3.0 http://alainlecomte.free.fr/TR_Exe.zip (288 Ko)

Have fun

Here is a improved version of TR_Exe:

  • Selection of rooms to display is done through a separate grid, for easier selection.
  • In some cases, vertical portals were wrongly indicated : This bug has been solved.
  • With version 3.0, if you choose not to select "Extract triggers" portals were not extracted either : This has been solved.

Download Version 3.1 http://alainlecomte.free.fr/TR_Exe.zip (293 Ko)

TR_Prj has also been improved.
While TR_Exe can open TR4 files and show rooms, objects and triggers hidden in this file, TR_Prj can do the same with PRJ project files.

The way to use it is almost identical between both programs :

  • A Left click on a floor tile will list objects, triggers, portals, pits or skylights found on this tile.
  • A Right click on a portal or pit tile will bring you to the next room or to the room downstairs.
  • A " Alt + Right click " on a skylight tile will bring you to the room upstairs.

As shown below, the result given by both programs is almost identical (At left hand, analysis of Karnak.prj using TR_Prj.
At right hand, analysis of Karnak.tr4 using TR_Exe.)

Thank you Ale, this tool was very useful to me when I lost a project file but still had the TR4 file. I was able to check my OCB settings etc., and re-create the PRJ.
