I really want to change Lara's outfit, but I CAN'T!! SOB SOB

I've downloaded this outfit (Serious Sam?!), I have finlly got my head round Wadmerger, so I loaded up my wad on the left, loaded the Serious Sam one on the right, replaced the skin, hair and other bits with the ones from the Serious Sam wad and saved it. In the game I have Lara with her pony tail standing up on her head, she's got half a third leg and a huge black fan waving around at the back. OK - someone like to point out the obvious thing I'm missing here before I go nuts?!?!

Thanks for replying Devoid. I have already tried TRWest to change outfits but I get error messages when trying to save the wad, something about anim dispatch and the sixshooter item won't work without the Lara scream from the original wad.

Strange !

I only added LARA_SKIN, LARA_SKIN_JOINTS, LARA_SCREAM and HAIR (not LARA) and it worked fine. But I think you have to use WADMerger because of the error message in TRWEST. I also had to do this and it worked.

Yes those were the same things I copied across: scream, hair, skin and joints. But something went wrong somewhere, the poor woman looked like she'd been put through a food blender. I did it twice but the same thing happened. Were you using the same (Serious Sam) outfit, Malte?

If you get an amination dispatch error followed by a sixshooter_anim error, Just delete sixhooter from the Wad being changed. You'll still be able to use the revolver, but the animation wont be right.

I used an outfit from Tommy Tomb Raider's site. The textures of the LARA object and others were also changed, but it worked with the four objects LARA_SKIN, ...

Use Wadmerger to fix the anim dispatches. Then try inserting the outfit using TRWEst

If that doesn't work, annoy the creator until they post a revised version on their site

LOL!! Suzie, I got the outfit from YOUR site! (But thanks!!)

I think someone else mentioned there is a fix anim dispatch in Wadmerger but I'm still trying to find the button! How do I do this? I think I have the latest version of Wadmerger if that helps.

Only add the objects and save it. The anim dispatches are fixed automaticly.

Well thanks to everyone - I have taken all your advice and now it works. I did the copying across of the hair, scream etc with TRWest, deleted the sixshooter anim so TRWest saved without a problem, opened up the wad in Wadmerger, copied across the sixshooter anim, Wadmerger saved it OK and now I have a Lara with new clothes, no third leg and fan and the sixshooter annimation works fine. The outfit doesn't go with my level at all but it doesn't matter - I got it to work so cheers to everyone!!

This is useful stuff - I had given up trying to get outfits to work, thinking that it must be me doing something wrong or that the outfits were faulty. I now have working outfits. :-)
