I followed the instructions on how to open and save dxf files on Turbo's site, but when i import my new mesh, the textures don't texture right in Strpix. The weird thing is that the size of the orignal mesh and the saved mesh are the same.IP: Logged |

Howdy Pardner. If you've made a model using 'Metas' and have textured it (using Metas..)you won'tbe able to import your textures into Strpix, the problem is in the dxf itself. Once you got you model into Strpix you have to re texture from the existing textures. You can always do a replacement with the bmp textures but you won't be able to import poly's AND your textures.... BillyIP: Logged |

Yes, i know that .dxf cannot store textures. What i mean is when i retexture a custom mesh (Lara's head), the existing textures don't place correctly. They should of placed correctly because i made sure it was the right size and the polygons are unchanged in the face area. I have no idea why this happens.IP: Logged |

Most likely you are trying to retexture triangular polys (lara's head is built using triangles), so just selecting a texture and clicking the triangle will not work...until you help to strpix3 and tell him what triangular texture map you need in that poly. After clicking a triangular face for put a texture, do CTRL+ALT+click over the triangular poly face again and again util the tringular texture is weell maped. There are 4 different triangles maps so you will need to do ctrl+alt+click over the poly no more that 3 times more. good luck. tp. IP: Logged |
