we can use 4MB of textures in total, saved as a TGA file.TRwest tells you when you save your modified wad how many MB you are using for the textures inside the wad (for example: 2,3 MB)
This means that even if you DON'T use all the objects of your wad in the level, 2.3MB of 4MB in total are already used.
So, you can use 1,7MB only for the "PRJ textures".
To have an idea of how much "space" for your textures you are still available to use, crack your TR4 file (the level just converted) with "Jack the texture ripper", and have a look at the BMP of your level: the BLACK colored part is "how many textures I can still insert in my level" both for the PRJ either for the WAD.
There is a trick I found out to have the idea when you went OVER the texture limit of 4MB.
With the editor opened, try to select from the 3D window with the right click of the mouse) a texture which is really LOW in the TGA texture file. If you went OVER the limit, the editor DRAWS not a "black/purple noised" missing TGA in the bottom, but it DRAWS THE TEXTURES OF YOUR WAD, exactly below the textures TGA slot...!!!!
