I have (I believe) the latest version of Wadmerger..... the one with A.I. Edit built in..... Trouble is, every wad I open I get the error message "cant read .SWD" plus maybe one or two anim dispatch errors..... the .WAD will load but then if I make any changes or not, when I try to save the WAD, I get "runtime error 9" and It crashes.I have read here that I need the runtime files..... well I got them and run the setup included...... TRWADtools successfully installs in C\programfiles....... still no luck with WADmerger (same errors). I have tried running WADmerger from its own folder and from within the TRWADtools folder with no success. At the same time though, TR2WAD works like a dream........ so I wonder if I need the runtime files at all? Would possibly an older version work for me...... (I couldnt get stripX3.8 to work, yet v3.5 works just fine.......) Now, the main reason I would like to have WADmerger running is for the A.I.Edit function, so I downloaded the older standalone version. I have made a few attempts at using it but the correct use of it eludes me!! Is it the stateID's that need to be changed or merely the anim order.... or both? obviously, using a slot that can accommodate the required object is pretty straight forward but other than that, I am lost...... Anyone with any suggestions or an addy where I can find any info, please post thx Inch ------------------ I WAS PRESSING THE DARN WALK BUTTON !! CELTIC FOLLY 1-5 Visions Of Egypt IP: Logged |

I get exactly the same problems with wadmerger, which does'nt help you much and I had to use an older version of strpix too. Spooky! IP: Logged |

This is mostly caused by an empty or broken swd file (sprite wad). Simple add a sprite to your wad and it should work. All original and revised wads have sprites in it.IP: Logged |

TRWAD..... I believe I get exactly the same problem with the original WAD files too, though not sure If i tried one of the revised ones... I will try and see. Also, If you have any further tips on using your A.I.edit program, I would be very interested. Pip, I invariably forget to turn my IM on when online..... but I did notice a curious message there last night....LOL IP: Logged |
