I can’t trigger a flipmap from a switch.

I can trigger it from a basic square(trigger) and I can use the switch to open a door - but I can’t use the switch to do the flipmap.

what am I doing wrong?

The first way is to put the first trigger for the switch as "switch tyoe" exactly below the switch itself (this means in the same square you placed the switch object). If it is a jump switch and there is a water room below, put those triggers correspondly in the lowest room.

Then, place another trigger on the same square, selecting the "flipmap" feature in the right field and placing the correct number you previously associated to the flipped rooms you need.

It should work normally

If not, it can be for some limit you could have broken, so, the second way to do it is trying to activate a flyby cam sequence triggering it below the switch, and an heavy trigger for the flipmap. Be careful to press the number 14 in the CB of the correct cam which will activate the flipmap, but most of all, select a "box" (gray square) in order no enemies will pass upon the heavy trigger before the flying cam will be activated. The "box" feature does not work with some flying enemies like the "wraith ghosts", so if you need them in your level, be careful to use them AFTER the flybycam, this means after the flipmap.

I followed your suggestion on using a flyby heavy trigger and, what do you know,
it worked!

thanks,

Are you working on any new levels at the moment, psiko?

looking special.

what are those diagonal 'roof' structures - Are they objects? or somehow built from the blocks of the room editor?
