...Can you make a hexagonal pit going down? Or are you forced to make it rectangular?------------------ IP: Logged |

The Tombraider engine has been created with rectangular sections in mind and so the only way to achieve this is with an object that has a hexagonal centre and rectangular edges.IP: Logged |

Another way is to raise a top room tile one click on one angle and then lower a bottom room tile one click on the same angle which would leave you with a wafer thin triangular section that you could apply a non colision to. (of course Lara cannot shimmy along this part) If you are unsure what I mean I will send you a PRJ of it. IP: Logged |

It worked well. However, I want the diagonal parts filled when the hole gets deeper, like through a room. I have an idea, though. An object that is wide enough to fill the diagonal gaps in the middle room. I will start to create one. I am just going to hope it works while I'm making it. One question, though. In Metasequoia, how do I make the objects small instead of uber-large?IP: Logged |

Taken from an earlier post. I hope this answers your question.

I had this same question. He actually sent me an e-mail telling me to change the numbers that are in the 'Multiply' box in Metas' (this you get when importing/exporting or saving). Whatever number is in the box change it to '1'. It's that easy. By putting '1' in place of the original number it goes back into TRLE at it's original size. Also, I should add, when importing an object do the same, always alter it to '1'. If you wanted to create a Block that was the same size as Lara, import some object that you could make a comparison with. If your not really sure you got the size right, save it (as long as the poly count is under 255 (I think that's the number) you should be OK. Drop it into the level editor and have Lara run up to it....
