I tried installing 'Last Crusade' but don't know what the *(%&#$_#$() am doing, won't work.

On Tom files, I used converter, & just hit edit script, selected it & hit Build Selected...then did the rest of what instructions said. (Do I have to Save? or is it done automatically)

Also, wasn't sure if put the 'Crusade' 1st file in Maps, so did & deleted all the stuff had put elsewhere (zips, etc.)

Wasn't sure on the Eng.data, & other 2 files, but put them in trle file (1st one)

I hit trle.exe but don't see anything of crusade.

It should tell everything you need to know in the install.txt or the readme.txt.

Here is a better description I once mailed to someone...

The audio files must be copied into; program files, core design, trle, audio.
The wadfiles (these are needed to convert the levels) must be copied into; program files, core design, trle, graphics, wads.
The script files must be copied into the main trle folder.

Now copy only crusade2.TOM into the graphics, wads directory and rename it into crusade.TOM. (when you install the wad files crusade.TOM will be there already so delete this one first) Open the level converter tom2pc.exe in the trle folder or from the start menu in the tool section level converter. Click on "add" underneath "edit script" and choose crusade.TOM. Then click on "build all". When the converter shows "build all complete" close it and go to the data folder in the trle directory. Rename the made level crusade.tr4 into crusade2.tr4.

Now copy crusade.TOM into the graphics, wads directory. The old file will be overwritten now. Convert the level the same way as above. Now you dont have to rename. Close and reopen the level converter because you cannot convert 2 levels in one session cause it may give problems. Then at last crusade3.TOM. Run tombraider...

Dont you think you've seen enough?...BANG!!!

THANKS ALOT!!!!!!

I think I did most all of that or all of it,
except I hit 'Build Selected' instead of 'all'.

On 'INSTALLING' I didn't have any self installing exe of anything, I'm assuming you mean this about the copy/pasting...or just moving wads, etc. into proper trle folder.

For all I know, it might work already? Not being familiar w/what Level looks like...I can start NEW GAME (are NO CHOICES or ones to load or choose from now)...but looks like 1st level of Last Revelation w/some boarded up stuff, etc. (I assumed that wasn't the level......probably isn't, eh?)

I may have to redo everything.

You helped alot though, on the extra explanation of things.

NEW GAME: what I described, is that 'The L.Crusade,' or like I'm assuming, just the tutorial map?

Looks like I did get T.L.Crusade set up right.

QUESTIONS:

1. Was it necessary to put the downloaded file (the 1st one you open up, the downloads 'root,' I guess) ......copy & paste it into the Core/trle...Map folder,
w/it's 'The Last Crusade' titled folder into it?

Instructions didn't say to do that, but just assumed needed to since saw all those files
seemingly needing to go somewhere.???

2. Also, can you install more than one player level at a time & play a choice of different player levels.....(If so, do you have to do something special w/the tr4.exe file, like maybe put in a save level w/level name & then just take it out & put back in trle root dir for the one you want to play at the time, .......then swap in another one, when want to play a different player made program????)

3. In Last Crusade, I put trle root dir Eng.dat file into a save file (& the other files that were going to be replaced by T.L.C./)......that was correct thing to do, wasn't it?

4. I take it that most all custom levels have to be done this same way, put INTO the trle file system (rather than setting up the Custom Levels own system or folder? (Except, in instances like COTW)

Thanks

P.S.
I read something about a 'virus' in the 'Last Crusade' uninstall (or was that just when it was a stand alone product?) process......is any such thing still an active item must deal with.........or has it been cancelled out w/the later TLC non-standalone setup?
