I had such a laugh at this, trying to add the outfit to karnak wad using Wadmerger, the processing of it went fine and Lara "works" ok but just look at her. If any of you can help with the following, I would greatly appreciate it! 1.how to create a tr3 outfit wad file with all the correct animations, correct meshes etc so that they will work in a tr4 file 2.how to include tr3 outfit in a tr4 wad, and make a playable Lara wearing said outfit in a tr4 file. 3.I am also desperately seeking the antartica outfit from tr3, or the whole wad so I can extract the outfit using tr2wad. thank you! anybody else got pics like this? lol [This message has been edited by litepulsar (edited 05-22-2002).] IP: Logged |

Yes !! This is the problem I had when I tried to get a new outfit. Exactly the same except mine had a big black fan at the back as well! But I did solve the problem by importing the outfit parts with TRWest. That worked fine except on saving it said it needed the lara part (can't remember which) from the original wad for the sixshooter anim to work correctly. So I deleted the sixshooter anim, saved the wad, opened up the wad in Wadmerger and added the sixshooter anim back in that. Problem solved.IP: Logged |

I tried to make a high polygon Lara, but when i added it through a wad file it didn't work. Then i opened up the .tr4 file with TRviewer and saved the mesh i wanted as a trmsh. Then i opened another .tr4 file and imported the trmsh to the correct corresponding mesh. It worked. Your problem is because your meshes don't connect correctly. It's such a pain to realign the meshes again, but the same problem happened to me because the meshes didn't align correctly. A trick to get them to align correctly is to save an original mesh as .dxf through strpix, then when you've made your modifications, insert the original mesh to compare the connecting vortexes. Strpix lets you create Lara with new meshes, and you can change the connecting vortexes of the new meshes, as long as they match up. When i was trying to create a Lara jacket mesh i had problems getting the neck mesh to connect to her actual neck. It kept connecting to the jacket's mesh, which similar, so the game interprets as a connecting mesh since it's higher than her actual neck mesh, but similar. Red is where it connects (the jacket) and blue is where it should of connected. Here's a pic: When i finally realized my problem, i lowered the jacket mesh to make the neck mesh on the neck part.

thanks guys! I really appreciate the help. I'm going to try that tr4 modified antartica outfit, but I managed to sort out the meshes, did a bit of messing around and voila! My first outfit creation! They still need a bit of refinement. [This message has been edited by litepulsar (edited 05-22-2002).] IP: Logged |
