I´ve placed Waterfall Loop sounds in my level (karnak WAD, with a few add ons). But it makes no sound. I totally forgot how to deal with these sounds if they´re not in the WAD, which may be the case. Any help?

Is the waterfall object in the wad? I mean the red cone object. When placed and triggered the sound must be there and also the sound object from the sound menu must work cause there the same. You dont have to edit the sound.txt. Behind the sound in this file is letter g wich counts for all levels. This is also with the soft wind loop

if you DON'T need the object but only the sound, and you are "lazy" (LOL) to edit the sound.txt or to find all the sounds you need in your wad again in order to edit the sound.txt, you can avoid that in this way: create a new wad from yours adding simply the waterfall, name it as you want and save.

Then, use only the sam and sxf files trwest created: name them as your old wad you are using. The sound is listed there in the correct way, but you hadn't added an useless object in your wad.

If the waterfall is already there in your wad, but it simply does NOT play, it could be that you have too many sounds listed and too heavy...

I had a problem like that with the warerfall sound: it had to play just when the flipmap was activated, but after loading the savegame gave me NO sounds on the flipped room. But I can't remember now how I resolved, sorry, that was too many months ago

(maybe I simply replaced a looped sound with the waterfall_loop I needed re-naming it...)
