I do...... I loaded some original levels of UT...Facing worlds The Iron Gauntlet
I cant say its better then TRLE or neither can I say its worse. The only best thing is you dont have memory limits i think with this Editor I am beginner UT editor with UT, it requires much more patience then trle, and UTeditor is a little harder to use when creating area's. Because its all wires and lines, with Trle you already have a room with floor, you only have to lower/higher it, its very different with UT But you can create some nice enviroments and effects with UTeditor. See for yourself [This message has been edited by Yasin (edited 06-01-2002).] IP: Logged |

it wasn't poor at all, you sounded like a cocky stuck-up business man from the suburbs of Wassenaar please speak English or translate, though another screenshot: http://driber.geckokid.com/os/Unreal_Editor.jpg ------------------ Peace is but a shadow of death, desperate to forget it's painful past... Though we hope for promising years, after shedding a thousand tears, yesterday's sorrow constantly nears. And while the moon still shines blue, by dawn, it will turn scarlet hue. Oh, okay, believe me, it's easier to speak English! I just thought I'd wow Yasin with my amazing albeit short Dutch! I thought he spoke it because it says he's from the Netherlands. Well, Here's what I said in English (If I remember ) Aah, you have a whole lot of programs and stuff running there! I'd love to have the UT EDITOR. Thanks for taking a picture of it for me (As I might buy it for only 10 $, haha, break out the moola!). That was very nice. ~~~~~~ Ich habe nicht heute gearbeitet. Warum? Weil ich nicht meine Bleistift finde! I am not working today. Why? I can't find my pencil!

With that additional complexity comes additional freedom, by the looks of it. From those screens is seems that the UT editor is more of a highly modified CAD program. With it I am sure a skilled 3d artist could make any environment they can imagine, without it looking 'blocky'. They could even make a (gasp!) round room! Unreal is like quake, right? I dunno, I own neither.

Brad I do understand dutch. I am from Holland. And like Driber said. You sound like a bla bla person from Wassenaar Anyway, I have the game itself from a friend ( Burned Copy ) But it is super. The UTeditor is hard when crearing enviroments like caves or other things. With trle you only have to press ceiling +/- and floor +/- buttons to create wiggly area's and other sort of rooms. With UTeditor its whole different you only have 1 tool, called a brush. As you can see on the left panel on screenshot you will see some geometric shapes. Cube/Sphere/Stairs and so on. Pressing on cube will build a wired cube for you. You can change its size with right clicking. Anyway the hardest thing is, you have to set the size then press a Subtract button to create a room. Now the red wired cube becomes yellow wired ( hollow ) If you want to add a stair in this one you press the stair button, BUT the red wired cube turns into a Stair wired shape. So you must always work with 1 BRUSH. argggggggggg getting confusius for myself even Anyway it has much much more functions then trle. You can let things animate the way you like it. Example, you create a Flat floor which can be raisen or lowered when you step on it, i dont see TRLE do this

@ Psiko:Yes. DS9:The fallen was an unreal-powered game with a third person perspective There are also cheats in msot unreal-powered games to use the third-person view, but in general the animations aren't optimized for that view. IP: Logged |
