If anyone's interested, I have just for the very first time put a level on the web! (Yes I know that's run of the mill stuff for most of you but it's a giant step for me!!) It's called Temple of Thor and I would be tickled pink if any of you guys would try it. It's on the TombRaider Chronicles site. [This message has been edited by SW (edited 06-08-2002).] IP: Logged |

Hi Treeble, E-Tux, yes I remember you both ! And thanks for saying you will try my new level, it gives me a real buzz to know someone else is playing what I have made up! As for Lost City of Luma, I have been trying to make a new ending for it because the original was a bit dull. Also when E-Tux tested it he found a couple of errors which I have now put right (I think). However I'm afraid Lara is still in the same outfit which I made up 'cos I just couldn't change it without corrupting the wad. Treeble if you want to put the original on your web site I would be honoured but if you want to wait and I'll try and send you a new prj file or tom file whatever (hopefully you still have all the wad files?) - if I can just send the prj file it would be better, I think that's a bit smaller. If you remember I had lots of problems e-mailing the large files as my poor pc couldn't cope Please let me know if I can do that.

I actually didn't finish it. I remember that eTux didn't get it that time, then I sent him the files. You can send me the updated tom (only .tom) then I upload it.I have all the other files If you can, provide a readme file togheter. IP: Logged |

Sue (and still sorry for confusing you with Janet, LOL), I played your level and it was great. The secrets were a bit too easy to find and too bad the threathening sky was only at the end of the level (and there could've been lightning added too, but the sky looked threathening enough anyway) but otherswise a really great level. And I'm still wondering how to make Lara play the lyre . Did you use the puzzle from 'The Golden Skull' (TLC) level btw? IP: Logged |

Hi ETux - thanks so much for giving this level a try, I'm glad you liked it. As for getting Lara to play the Lyre it's just the puzzle hole set up as normal with a key trigger but in the OCB you put -422. You don't have to add the CD either, it plays on it's own which I was a bit surprised about. I did try to get lightning right at the end where the glove is on the pedestal and I used the lightning conductor from Market Bazaar in TR4 but all it did was the horrible blue fuzzy thing which I agree is pretty rubbish. I really wanted the lightning ball from TR1, St Francis Folly but I couldn't get it to work - that would have been so much better. Is there any other lightning I could have used? I also tried to put crocs in the water but for some reason every time they were triggered the game crashed. But now I have to admit I am a bit of a loss as to what the puzzle from the Golden Skull TLC level is. I’m ashamed to say, as a good honest Tomb Raider, I don’t know what TLC stands for. I’ve been racking my brains for half an hour but I think you will have to tell me – I bet it’s something obvious!

It's an OCB? Amazing! About the lightning, I didn't meen the gauntlet at the end, but a thunderstorm, lightning effects on the sky. Thor was the god of Thunderstorms you know You can add it with a specific script line (lightning= enabled) and it gives a really nice effect, but as I said the sky was threathening enough. TLC - the last crusade, the highest rated custom level on this site. I think that's the most popular and best place to search for custom levels to play. This is a listing of the Top50 best rated custom levels out there and as you see TLC is at the top. It had the same cutscene like effect with lara playing the lyre, so I thought that the author modified the animations so it would look like she played the lyre, and I thought that you copied the animations to your level, but as I said I'm quite surprised to know that that was an ocb. You can also read reveiws from your own level here. Ok there ain't so much of them now, but I think eventually you'll be able to read more IP: Logged |

Thanks for the review page ETux - I must say I am blushing now! But the Enabled Lightning line - that's in the script honest! I think the problem is there is not much sky to see and you have to wait awhile before the sky lights up. Ah yes The Last Crusade - well I did start that but I got lost in the dark in the library bit and never finished it. But I think that's where I got the horse statue from I did save that game though and hopefully I'll get round to finishing it. IP: Logged |

Thanks LarzBritsh Treeble! I've been working away on Luma for the past week but now I have remembered something - I've revised the wad since I sent it to you! I had to add the darts object as it wasn't in the original and I now have darts in the game. I don't really want to remove them and I can't bear the thought of e-mailing all the wad files again with all the problems I had before. Would you be able to add the darts to the wad yourself? I don't know if that would work.
