BUG FIX Please update if you are hosting!Updated download page: TRL/FL5 Download page You may require additional .dlls to run this program - I do not know which ones (b/c I must have them) I am sure, though that a quick search on Google will find you the correct file to copy to your Windows folder. Tell me if you find any bugs, unless the bug is huge, in that case don't tell me ! Please tell me what you think, if options need to be added, etc. Thanks, -Raider [This message has been edited by Raider Of Tombs' Clone (edited 06-13-2002).] [This message has been edited by Raider Of Tombs' Clone (edited 06-18-2002).] IP: Logged |

Upside down? I just ran it and loaded every single texture set I have, and they all opened right-way up. Is it a custom texture set? If so, it may have an unusual file header. TES is designed to open just about any .tga format, but it only saves in TR format. The only way to fix your problem would be to open your texture set with a program like Irfanfiew and resave it. Then it will be converted to a normal .tga file and should load right way up. Even so, being upside down isn't really a problem because you rotate everything in the editor anyway.IP: Logged |

Are you sure those are .dll files? I know that mscomctrl is also an .ocx file. Did the program specifically ask for .dll's or ocx's?IP: Logged |

both - I think.I've just checked the files I downloaded and they have .ocx extensions. there was also a .dll needed - but i can't find it now. By the way, your texture studio is great but it's just destroyed my custom set when I set a zero texture black in the middle of the tiles. - on saving it saved up to this point and then stopped. the reason I set the zero texture at this location was to correct a slight displacement of the textures that was a problem with the water textures (causing unwanted borders). I've got a lot of work ahead to sort this mess out.

Whoa whoa whoa, whazzat? Unwanted borders? blank textures?Ok, first, go through what you did step by step, and why. Secondly, are you using the bugfixed version? It should say version 1.1 at the top when you run it. I have thouroughly tested your problem by saving texture sets with black textures in the middle and have had no problems so far. The fact that a few textures in the middle of the set are black does not make any difference. The program reads and saves it just like any other texture: 4096 pixels, they just all happen to be black. They could be green, blue, or alternately magenta and yellow. TES reads the tiles in 64x64 increments. If there were borders on the textures, then they were there when you imported the tga.

I got hold of version 1.0 somehow.Just downloaded 1.1 hopefully that works without any probs. the problem was caused by a ZERO texture - not black. It seemed to think this represented the end of the set. [This message has been edited by possum problem (edited 06-13-2002).] IP: Logged |

Zero texture: a transparent texture - usually shows up as black in-game - shows up as purple/pink on your texture editor. The problem I encountered occurred after importing a transparent (or zero) texture tile from cascade (extra textures directory) and placing it in the middle of the set. The displacement problem that prompted this action is not evident with version 1.1.IP: Logged |

Can someone host the new version as a direct click-on-it-to-start-the-download link? I'd much prefer a direct link on the TRLE FAQ and community page. Thanks, -ROTC IP: Logged |

Well, that makes me really happy. Sorry, bu I don't have the snomobile, I lost it when my hard drive corrupted some time ago. I just checked the briefcase in which all my old site downloads are kept, and some kind person has obviously hacked the password and deleted them all. How thoughtful. The snomobile, I am sure, is in the hands of piega, who posted a screenshot recently with it in it. I would enquire to piega if he could send it to you. Sorry about that, and I more sorry to see all my downloads gone. Ah, well. I had a mountain Dew can and a lucozade bottle... I had a whole wad of custom objects... All probably gone, now. Unless someone still has them, which is unlikely. IP: Logged |

ROTC's newest tools are available through these links:ShrinKit 1.0 Texture Editing Studio 1.1 And ROTC, I think I have most of your wads. I have to look for them, though, but I am sure they are somewhere here...

When the room editor finds a tile that is completely transparent color, it stops loading the TGA. It ignores everything after the transparent tile.
