Hi

Can you have flyby camera's on same space both facing opposite ways and displayed as part of a sequence so it snaps from from one angle to the next without rotating ?

This is for flyby that I just had an idea for and uses camera tricks that need this motion.

(I know how to do this but not sure if it works)

Thanks

I don't think that that would work. It would sweep from one to the other really fast. I would put the rolling ball in the wad, and have two fixed cameras. Then have a separate room with a ramp with the ball, and a trigger for each camera on alternating squares of the slope. Then trigger the ball at the top of the ramp to have the alternating camera views display. (Kinda adhoc, but I don't know a better way)

Yes, it is possible. The answer is in the manual page 96.
7 = Cut-Cam, Jumps to a specified camera in the same sequence
(Timer = cam number to jump to)

It's possible to create flybys like this, using a normal flyby sequence (with no rolling balls involved). Use the bit 7 on the OCB menu.

I had a flyby like this which involved cutting the sequence- You need to set it up so that there is at least one camera in between the one you are switching from and the one you are switching to, and it needs to be close by...
For example, say you want to switch from camera 5 to camera 7, you would need to place camera 6 right next to camera 5, on the same square and pointing in the same direction, maybe slightly above it so you can tell the difference between them. Then it will cut to camera 7 when it gets to camera 5. Look in the Settomb project, in the room which the guide lights the petrol, it cuts to the view of that statue...
