Topic: Level editor freezing.

This just started happening today  . When I open up the editor, everything works fine. But when I want to rotate the room with the arrow keys, the editor freezes. It also freezes when I press any key on the keyboard. Anyone know whats going on?------------------

I had this problem before. Just uninstall and reinstall. Then it work fine for me.

Try pressing the 'ESCAPE' or 'ENTER' key when it freezes or hold down 'ALT' while pressing 'ENTER' key.You may also be experiencing low video memory, or if you have an up-to-date video card try installing updated drivers (INCLUDING DirectX 8+) [This message has been edited by Data (edited 06-12-2002).] IP: Logged |

alright some how , I fixed the problem. How ever, When I go to play my level and when I click Run tomb raider, everything works fine. But when I click on one of the levels, The load screen shows up, but no load bar shows up and then the computer freezes. All these problems started happening to day. I am so mad.------------------

I have strange problems (like crashing without TOUCHING anything, nor mouse either keyboard) if on the same work session I listened to some mp3...Once I simply loaded the editor while the players was singing something, and after a while, whitout me doing ANYTHING the editor crashed... I resolved avoiding listening to SOME mp3's (that was strange, because it happened only when playing few of them, probably the ones which were a little bit corrupted when downloaded).. Since then, my editor works perfectly. I hope yours is a "simple" problem like this one... Probably you installed something during those days which gives the problem now... IP: Logged |

well, actually the TRLE itself when installing puts all the files it needs into your machine...it you UNINSTALL it and RE-INSTALL it completely ("normal" procedure) you should have everything ok... Anyhow I will suggest as DATA to reinstall your video card drivers again and update to the latest version of DX... BTW, this ia a problem which happens EVERYTIME you rotate or when you activated the DRAW DOORS feature? IP: Logged |

- update your video driver;
- download and install the lastest directx version (www.microsoft.com/directx)
- uninstall trle and remove all the registry entry named with core design

It is Jack_Raider.I am so happy now. The problem had nothing to do with video memory or directx. There was just something wrong with the program that could not be fixed. I fixed the problem by using the system recovery cd. It took a while since it had to delete all my files. The bad news though, is that all my files are gone and I have to download everything again, but thats ok. Also there were other problems with my computer,like I noticed it always freezed, but thats not the case anymore. ------------------
