Yes, it does textures now. No, it isn't perfect. Check out the readme to see what it does and does not do. Check out TEX.HTML to see why there are problems with some of the textures.
You can also export the TGA containing just the room textures, and even have the transparency fixed (watch out on TR1-3, you get transparency where you don't want it).
You can also export the sky and font graphics to RAW format. I figured since I'm already in there, why not?

I really want to get started on a new project, so what you see is what you get. But I will fix any serious bugs you find.

Since I'm on dialup right now, anyone want to host this so I only have to send it once?

I'll check back in the morning. Off to bed for now. Night shift really sucks!

Does it open user created levels too or are these locked (since some people don't like to have their levels opened)

So far nobody has suggested a reasonable way to lock TR files or WADs. Even if we come up with a way to do it, old versions of tools will still be able to open them.

Well, I mailed you a way 16 years ago (well, i was still a baby that time, so make it 7 months), but I guess you didn't got it. There is a small difference between user levels and official levels. If you like to know it, I'll mail it to you.

I tried to extract train.tr4 but it keeps crashing when i load the objects (train.was). If I disable the objects it crashes at the textures. But the level loads correctly and it displays the number of rooms in it. What causes this?

TRWad - this version doesn't check. Even if I add the check, people only have to use this version. So it doesn't matter. And I don't think any other tools check for this, so again it doesn't matter.

I don't know why train won't convert. I tried it while I was still online, and when I loaded it into the LE, my PC locked up. I rebooted and tried again, and I could view it without problems. I don't have the train wad, so I can't try it with objects. Guess I should install TR2Wad.

Chaos_Lord - I am running on Win98. You might try using compatibility mode. Because of the way WinXP works, you might have to download older versions of the VC++ runtimes (vcrt42.dll and mfc42.dll). But hopefully compatibility mode will work.

I suppose this could get to be a problem eventually. I have VS6.0 and don't plan to update to .NET.
Unfortunately, MFC42.dll is almost 1MB and Yahoo won't let me attach it.
If you have VS, you should have a copy of them already. Each version has the runtimes for all previous versions. Look for MFC42.dll and MSVCRT40.dll. Put them in the same folder as TR2Prj and it *SHOULD* work.
If this doesn't fix it, I can't help. I don't have XP and don't plan on ever getting it.
