I want Lara to be able to climb down a wall and, with a narrow gap below her, drop down so she hangs from the gap. The wall above the gap has to be marked as climbable on the floor square below the gap, right? But on trying this, Lara seemed to be doing the animation where she's climbing but her legs are dangling, rather than truly hanging.

If anyone can get this done, can you show me how?

Although I've never done this myself, have you tried putting the hanging ledge in another room so that it is not marked as a climable wall?
