I have made a lil' trap where Lara jumps over a endless pit (well a pit lowered down to -127) and grabs a block. When she does that, a rollingball should drop into the pit taking Lara with it on it's way. But it slowly lowers down a couple of seconds before it drops - so Lara can get up on the block and be safe (which I don't want her to). What's wrong? Also, my mummy spins around 360º before attacking when triggered. What mental hospital has he escaped from? Please help! Maybe... I got it from the Burial Chambers level (well all the used objects are from that WAD)... I should use the tut1 one instead... Thanks. But I still have the rollingball problem... The ball is from the settomb WAD. It's strange how it worked before...

It is generally not advisable to approach the -128 limit in your map (and neither the +128 limit), as in that instance, all sorts of bugs are known to occur. However, I presume that it isn't really necessary for your level to have a pit of that depth; a pit 20 clicks deep is already sizeable, 30 or 40 clicks make it enormous enough, and I hold that anything beyond that value is quite utterly superfluous.[This message has been edited by Mulf (edited 06-17-2002).] IP: Logged |
