Hiya

I'm trying to get those atlantean globes out of TR1. I can get them to work mostly okay, but I'm having a few problems getting them to look right...

Firstly, anything I try and import from TR1 (or TR2) doesn't animate correctly- it isn't smooth like most things, it stutters. You can see each frame of the animation (no interpolation? Is that what it's called?) My save game crystal doesn't look good either, it's jumping up and down and doesn't look right at all (any idea why these were in the PC version of TR1?).

Secondly (and worse) the globes don't stop once they have finished the animation (I'm using the second animation, where it bursts open). It stays there and starts jumping up and down, it looks stupid. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I extracted the Wad from TR1 with TR2Wad and then used the animation editor thing on wadmerger to just put the second animation- I also did some re-texturing on that object with StrPix. I don't know where I went wrong? Does anyone know what could have caused this? Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Use wadmerger to copy it. Maybe that helps. And about stopping the animation, you can do that with trviewer by letting that animation point to the last frame of itself

Okay then, well I've had some success. I found that using the AIEdit function with WADMerger added an extra few frames onto the end of the animation (???), which didn't look right. So, I used the old AI editor to switch the animations round instead! Now there are no jumpy frames at the end of the animation.

Still, I don't know how to fix those jumpy frames on other things. Any help would be appreciated...
