Jill, the level usually comes with a so called "readme.txt" file which has information on how to install the custom level you just unpacked. Take a look...

Someone sends you his ****.prj (project, the one you save in your maps) You get this as an attachement with your mail, Then you load this file when you're in the editor, and then you make an output wad.
Sometimes people will send you a ***.tom file, so you won't be able to change a thing in their levels or name it something else. Anyway, you put this .tom file in your graphics/wads directory. It must overwrite an excisting file! So this .tom file which you get from somebody must be: tut1.tom, title.tom, settomb.tom etc (rest of 'm). When you place this file in the wads directory, you're computer asks: overwrite file. Click yes. Then go to the level convertor and build this .tom file. That's it. Get it? Later on, if you make youre own project output wad, in tut1, this .tom file will be exchanged by yours... Have fun.
Mostly someone will send you an script.dat and English.dat file with their .prj or .tom First learn how to change these (in the tutorial), then you'll know what to do with them. (They combine the level you're gonna play with the right music.)

When I'm done with my level, I'll send it to you. Also i would like to get yours. I'm waiting..... (send your .prj)

Yeah, Im sorry. That's not so polite. Anyway, here is the translation:
Jimmeyy: And here is something else; Are you from Holland or what? If so, that will talk a little easier...

Jill de Jong:
Jeah, I'm from Holland. I'm not that good in Dutch, only a little bit...
