Sorry. This thresd is sorta stupid, but thanks for answering the role call. You see, I had trouble for about a day in getting the Eidos Forums to link at all. I could not get them, and my comp kept saying "Not Found" or "Error". I finnaly got to the site, but there were no new posts, so I posted, asking where everyone was, and then it all began to work correctly again. Weird... Maybe Lara got mad at me for a day. I do keep on killing her in the game as a test for my level, though.....IP: Logged |

ah, that might be true indeed the other Eidos portals (eidosinteractive.com and .co.uk) has been down the last few days when that happens, you can try the direct site www.eidosgames.com the other portal sites just re-direct you to this site afterall quote: Originally posted by Raider of Tombs: I uncloned myself...

me too. If no editor will be released with AOD, actually I hope players won't lose interest in our levels we LD's will build with the same trle after AOD... if no second editor released, trle levels probably would be the only TR-levels we could keep on building IP: Logged |

Given that TRAOD is supposed to be so much more in advance of the previous TRs, I highly doubt that they will release the editor. They'll milk it with a many sequels with the same engine, and after it is obselete they might (but probably won't) release it. The only reason why they released the current editor is because they wouldn't have been able to make a profit off of TR6 using the same tired old engine because no one would buy it. The editor just boosted TRC's sales up to 'normal' TR game sales levels. If you look at it from a profit standpoint, the chance of the AOD level editor being released is slim. One other thing - If they do release any new editor, they are bound to encrypt and mess with it even more than they messed with the current one. They would make it super difficult to edit wads (or the equivalent) next time around.

Raider of Tombs explained Core's likely standpoint pretty well there most likely won't be an editor released with AoD, because there will be more AoD games after the first oneIP: Logged |
